100 years of English Studies at the JU

The Jagiellonian University Institute of English Studies is celebrating its 100th birthday. It was in 1911 that Roman Dyboski became the first permanent Professor of English Studies at the JU. To mark this occasion, the Institute is holding a jubilee conference on October 21 and 22. Its programme includes a memorial lecture, the presentation of different sections of the Institute, a translation workshop, a visit in the JU Museum and an entertainment programme. The sessions will be held in the JU Collegium Maius from 2 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. on October 21 and at ul. Kanonicza 14 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon) on October 22.

The publications by the members of the Institute staff will also be presented during the sessions.
